Reminiscing by Palma Gjerde Erickson
Palma, the eldest child of Mons and Christine Gjerde, wrote a wonderful story of her life growing up. Her descriptions of the logging towns of the Pacific Northwest, the brutal winters of rural Canada without electricity, and the warmth of the love of family, transport you back to the early 1900’s.

Mons Gjerde by Luthard Gjerde
Luthard, Palma’s younger brother, also wrote about growing up in his large family. He lends his perspective on their many moves, Mons’ perspective on religion, and life after Palma grew up and moved away. His story is beautifully written, and complements Palma’s story perfectly.
